a project to join
CTT‑3NanoSAE, University of Bucharest, combines expertise in advanced materials, electrochemistry, biotechnology and environmental remediation, linking research with technology transfer. Its experience covers functional nano-materials, microbial fuel cells, electrochemical sensing, membrane processes and ozone-based water treatment. The centre can integrate water-quality monitoring and remediation through MFC- biosensors for early warning of toxic stress, plant bioindicators assessed by chlorophyll, polyphenols and hyperspectral responses, as complementary methods for pollutant identification. Micro/nanoplastic detection/ removal, with deep eutectic solvents combined with advanced oxidation, CTT‑3NanoSAE seeks to join multidisciplinary consortia, contributing materials development, laboratory validation, and integrated bio-hysicochemical methods to assess pollution and treatment effectiveness.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
Join as partner in proposals topic 1/2/3
1) microbial fuel cell (MFC), plant bioindicators and hyperspectral sensors. Ozone-based advanced oxidation process (AOP), - oxygen species, assessment of residual toxicity and biological responses. MFC provide early warning of toxic stress, stress-induced genetic damage and gene-expression changes. Plants exposed to the same environmental stressors would be monitored for growth, physiological responses, chlorophyll and polyphenol contents. Hyperspectral sensing would provide an overview of spectral changes associated with these responses. Comparative measurements before and after treatment would link electrical, biochemical and spectral indicators to treatment performance and water quality.
