a project to join
Expertise in hydrogeophysics, geophysical monitoring, and electrical/electromagnetic methods for investigating groundwater and subsurface hydrological processes. The working group focuses on integrated geophysical approaches for sustainable water management and resilient hydrological and hydrogeological systems, including projects such as BlueTransition, SeeKaquA, and others.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 2. Nature-Based Approaches for Resilient Water Management at Hydrological and Hydrogeological System Scale
Our working group at LIAG contributes expertise in hydrogeophysics, with advanced capabilities in NMR, ERT, GPR and electromagnetic, borehole geophysics and other geophysical methods, complemented by strong expertise in numerical modelling and inversion. Our exploration capabilities span multiple spatial scales, from very shallow depths of a few decimetres to depths of approximately 1 km. We can contribute advanced subsurface exploration and monitoring approaches to address key hydrogeological questions, including groundwater availability, salinisation, freshwater–saltwater interactions, and changes in groundwater systems under environmental and climatic pressures.
hydrogeophysics, groundwater monitoring, integrated geophysical methods, subsurface characterisation, numerical modelling, water resources management, climate resilience, hydrogeological assessment.
