My research focuses on water treatment and reuse, with particular expertise in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis for the removal of emerging contaminants and the production of value-added products. Current research interests also include the characterisation and removal of microplastics, photocatalytic hydrogen production, biomass valorisation and life cycle assessment.
I have extensive experience in interdisciplinary research at the interface between chemical engineering, environmental engineering and sustainable water management. I have also participated in technology transfer and European R&D activities involving industry and SMEs.

I can contribute expertise in the development and evaluation of advanced water treatment and reuse technologies, particularly advanced oxidation processes, heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis. I can contribute to the treatment of emerging contaminants and microplastics, process development and optimisation, environmental assessment and life cycle assessment, as well as the integration of innovative treatment technologies into sustainable and circular water management strategies.
I am also interested in contributing to interdisciplinary projects combining experimental research, environmental engineering, process engineering and sustainability assessment, and in collaborations with academic, technological and industrial partners.
