Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
CIDP is interested in joining the Water4All project because sustainable and equitable water management is closely linked to the organization’s work on community resilience, WASH, climate change adaptation, livelihoods, disaster risk reduction and inclusive local development in Sindh, Pakistan. Water insecurity increasingly affects rural and urban communities through floods, droughts, heatwaves, declining water availability, inadequate drinking-water services and unequal access to irrigation resources.

CIDP can contribute strong field-level knowledge, community networks and experience in participatory development, stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy and coordination with government departments, local authorities, farmers, civil society and vulnerable groups. CIDP has experience facilitating community consultations, awareness activities, WASH interventions, climate and disaster-resilience initiatives, and multi-stakeholder dialogue on local water challenges.

Through Water4All, CIDP is particularly interested in strengthening evidence-based and community-driven approaches to water management, learning from European and international partners, and connecting scientific knowledge with the realities and priorities of farmers and water-dependent communities in Sindh. CIDP can support participatory research, stakeholder mapping, community mobilization, knowledge exchange, dissemination and local validation of project findings.
