The Laboratory of Functional Helminthology, Biology Centre CAS (Czech Republic) is looking to join a consortium under Topic 1 or Topic 4.
We study how water quality and environmental stressors affect aquatic animal health, with expertise in fish immunology, aquatic parasitology, host–pathogen and host–microbiome interactions, molecular and cellular biomarkers, and antimicrobial peptides, and aquatic animal welfare assessment in Central European aquaculture systems.

We can contribute to projects developing biological indicators for water-quality and environmental monitoring, and assessing links between environmental conditions, pathogens and aquatic organism health, and evaluating how such evidence can support regulatory frameworks for sustainable water management and aquaculture.
