The goals and activities carried out by EDEN are: - Collection, processing, presentation and publication of data from scientific and professional literature in the field of environmental protection; - Publications on issues related to environmental protection, in accordance with the law; - Initiating and proposing to the industrial sector and other organisations the application of appropriate technologies in environmental protection; - Cooperation with decision-makers and provision of consulting services to competent authorities in the development of national legislation in the field of environmental protection; - Organising, independently or in association with other organisations, expert meetings, seminars, round tables, and panel discussions; - Organisation of training for the purpose of continuous professional development; - Cooperation with educators and other experts to work on the education of children and youth in raising awareness of the importance of environmental protection and socially responsible behaviour; - Promotion of environmental protection in informative, cultural and artistic events, exhibitions, written and audio-visual media

Water protection and management is the theme around which EDEN was created. It is almost 30 years of expertise in this sector. Sustainable, integrated management of water resources is of great importance for long-term social and economic well-being and environmental protection at the same time. With the increase in the number of users and the impact of changing meteorological conditions, this type of management helps to balance the competing demands for water, whether it is used as a drinking water resource or for industrial or irrigation purposes. For decades, the protection of water from further pollution has been the most important activity of all organisations whose activities are related to the environment and human health. Today, in the light of scientific and technological achievements, pollution prevention measures implemented for this purpose are closely related to the valorisation of waste streams and resource efficiency. We are strongly interested in this call due to expertise, foremost Topic 1 and 4.
