a project to join
I am a Professor of Psychology at the University of Bergen. My research covers environmental cognition, human-AI interaction and experimental psychology. I study responses to natural and artificial environments, including effects on well-being, attitudes and decision-making.

My methodological experience includes surveys, behavioural experiments, psychophysiology, EEG/ERP, immersive VR/AR and psychological scale validation. Relevant work addresses climate-change beliefs and climate-policy support, restorative experiences of nature, and acceptance of AI.

I can contribute to the human dimensions of sustainable water management through studies of public perceptions, trust, risk communication, technology acceptance and behavioural responses. Potential contributions include evaluating how people experience nature-based water interventions and how users engage with digital decision-support tools.
Topic 2. Nature-Based Approaches for Resilient Water Management at Hydrological and Hydrogeological System Scale
Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
I am seeking an interdisciplinary Water4All consortium that needs a psychology and behavioural-science partner. My main interest is Topic 4, particularly how attitudes, trust, communication and decision-making can support public participation and sustainable water-use practices.

I am also interested in the social and psychological dimensions of Topic 2 (nature-based approaches), including perceptions, acceptance and well-being, and Topic 3 (smart water infrastructures), including user experience and acceptance of AI-enabled tools.

I would contribute study design, surveys, behavioural experiments, psychological measurement, data analysis and dissemination. Depending on the consortium aims, immersive environmental scenarios could help test responses to proposed interventions. I welcome collaboration with water researchers, utilities, public authorities and other partners who can connect these methods to concrete water-management challenges.
