a project to join
Design & Simulation Technologies (D&S Tech) specialises in computational modelling, digital assessment and optimisation of environmental, water and energy infrastructures. Our expertise combines Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), web-based self-assessment tools, digital twins and data-driven performance evaluation to identify inefficiencies and support design, operational and retrofit improvements.

D&S Tech is a partner in the ongoing Horizon Europe HEATWISE project (GA 101138491), where we contribute to CFD-based infrastructure performance analysis and develop a web-based self-assessment platform integrating operational data and KPIs for continuous performance evaluation and decision support. This expertise can be transferred to water infrastructures for integrated monitoring, benchmarking, scenario analysis and optimisation.

In the water sector, we have extensive CFD expertise in hydraulic systems and have developed and experimentally validated a patented high-efficiency disinfection contact tank design, combining CFD and tracer studies to improve hydraulic and treatment performance. D&S Tech is also a Water Europe member.

Keywords: CFD & hydraulic modelling; Digital twins; Self-assessment & decision-support tools; Water infrastructure optimisation.

Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
D&S Tech is looking to join a consortium addressing Topic 1 – Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) and/or Topic 4 – Integrated Water Monitoring and Data Management under the Water4All 2026 Joint Transnational Call.

We are particularly interested in projects aiming to improve the monitoring, assessment, management and operational efficiency of water and environmental infrastructures through integrated digital and modelling approaches.

Within a consortium, we can contribute expertise in CFD-based hydraulic modelling and optimisation, web-based self-assessment tools, digital twins, KPI-based performance evaluation, and data-driven decision support. Our approach can integrate monitoring and operational data with numerical models to assess infrastructure performance, identify inefficiencies, evaluate alternative operational or design scenarios, and support evidence-based decision making.
We are interested in collaborating with universities, research institutes, water utilities, public authorities and technology providers working on integrated water management, water monitoring and data management, water quality and infrastructure optimisation.
We aim to join an existing consortium as an R&I/technology partner, complementing water-resource and environmental expertise with advanced modelling, digital assessment and optimisation capabilities.
