Research technologist with experience in membrane separation processes, membrane and module fabrication, process development, and scale-up for water, wastewater, and industrial applications.
My R&D background includes hollow-fibre membranes and modules, membrane contactors, membrane distillation, pressure-driven and thermally driven membrane processes, desalination, landfill leachate treatment, and industrial water treatment. I have experience in translating laboratory concepts into process design, scale-up, and pilot-scale validation.
At INT/MCTI, I also work at the interface between technology development and industrial innovation, helping connect technical capabilities, research groups, and companies.
Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
I am interested in joining a Water4All 2026 consortium under Topic 3, particularly projects involving membrane-based and integrated treatment processes for complex industrial wastewaters and water reuse. I can contribute to process assessment and development, integration of treatment technologies, scale-up and pilot validation. Depending on project needs, I can also help mobilise complementary expertise and infrastructure within INT and through research collaborations in advanced materials, adsorbents, ceramics and polymers, materials characterisation, microbiology, biofilms and biocorrosion, biocide assessment and analytical chemistry methods. I can also help connect project activities with Brazilian research groups, companies and technology end-users, supporting validation and application under relevant Brazilian operating conditions.
