a partner (for my project)
My research expertise focuses on the development of nanostructured and functional materials for environmental and energy-related applications, with particular emphasis on electrospun nanofibrous membranes and fibrous nanocomposites. I have extensive experience in the fabrication and characterization of polymeric nanofibers, MOFs and 2D-based hybrid materials, functional membranes and filtration systems. For Water4All, I am particularly interested in developing a sustainable water–energy nexus framework based on piezo-photocatalytic bio-derived porous membranes for emerging contaminant removal. I can contribute expertise in membrane fabrication, functionalized nanomaterials, adsorption/catalysis, and water-treatment materials.
Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
We are preparing a research proposal focused on the development of sustainable and advanced materials and technologies for water treatment and contaminant removal. The project aims to investigate innovative material-based approaches, their performance under relevant water-treatment conditions, and their potential integration into efficient and adaptable treatment systems.
We are looking for international partners with complementary expertise in contaminant detection and quantification, environmental monitoring, water-quality assessment, real-water validation, and pilot- or field-scale testing. Expertise in analytical methods, environmental impact assessment, modelling, and validation under realistic conditions would be particularly valuable. We are particularly interested in partners who can contribute complementary experimental capabilities, analytical facilities, process evaluation, system-level assessment, or validation under realistic conditions, and who are interested in developing a joint proposal within the Water4All 2026 call.
water treatment, water quality, environmental monitoring, contaminant analysis, analytical methods, real-water validation, continuous-flow treatment, environmental impact assessment, process modelling
Open to networking with potential Water4All partners through relevant international conferences, workshops and Water4All networking activities. Particularly interested in discussions with researchers working on advanced materials fabrication, water-quality assessment, contaminant analysis, environmental monitoring, modelling, and pilot/field validation.
