I am a hydrogeologist by training, but for this project that is not very relevant. I am interested in how and why decisions in water resources management are made, what information they are based on, and how they are shaped by a variety of factors. Our consortium already covers many of the relevant areas of expertise, so we are looking only for quite specific, complementary contributions.
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
What we are looking for:
a) Someone with expertise in AI-supported information retrieval and analysis, particularly methods for identifying, extracting, structuring and synthesising large volumes of heterogeneous information from sources such as reports, policy documents, assessments, plans and other grey literature, and for compiling these into structured datasets that can support further analysis.
b) Someone with strong expertise in decision-making processes at a more fundamental level, for example how decisions are formed, how different types of knowledge and evidence are used or ignored, how alternatives are considered, and how institutional, organisational and other contextual factors shape the final decision.
