Construction Engineering Management specialist with nearly 10 years of professional experience in construction and infrastructure projects. My professional and academic background covers construction project management, project performance and productivity, cost and schedule control, risk management, monitoring and evaluation, QA/QC, and digital construction/BIM. My recent research focuses on construction cost overruns and risk factors in infrastructure projects, using the Shah-Wa-Arus Multipurpose Dam Project in Afghanistan as a case study. Through my professional experience in project monitoring, technical reporting, planning, quality assurance, and field-level project control, I have developed a strong interest in understanding the factors that influence construction productivity, cost, time, quality, and overall project performance. I am particularly interested in research that combines construction management, project controls, risk and uncertainty, digitalization, and data-driven approaches to improve the planning and delivery of complex construction and infrastructure projects. I hold an MSc in Construction Engineering Management from Kabul Polytechnic University (CGPA 3.51/4.00) and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (CGPA 3.99/4.00). I am seeking a PhD opportunity where I can build on my practical experience and research background while contributing to applied research in construction management and project performance.

I am looking to join an interdisciplinary research project addressing the links between infrastructure development, sustainable construction, environmental resilience, and biodiversity. My research interests include sustainable infrastructure, construction project performance, risk and uncertainty management, life-cycle performance, circular construction, and data-driven approaches to improving construction processes. I am particularly interested in research that integrates environmental and biodiversity considerations into the planning, delivery, and management of infrastructure projects, while addressing resilience and long-term sustainability. I can contribute academic and professional experience in construction engineering and management, project monitoring and evaluation, cost and risk analysis, project controls, construction planning, and infrastructure project implementation. My background in investigating construction cost overruns and risk factors, together with practical experience in infrastructure projects, enables me to contribute a project-management and performance perspective to interdisciplinary research on sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
