Led the development and proof-of-concept for the world’s first dissolved nitrous oxide sensor designed for wastewater monitoring and greenhouse gas emission control. Supervising a team of specialized electronic and software engineers in designing and producing advanced measurement systems. Collaborated extensively on environmental monitoring equipment for wastewater N2O and natural water NO3 and flow monitoring. Focus on innovative sensor technologies. WP leader in several Danish and EU projects and consortium leader on Eurostar’s project AQISE.

Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management

Unisense develops NitraFlow, a calibration-free, battery-powered, IoT-enabled ion-selective-electrode (ISE) nitrate mass-flow sensor for continuous, low-maintenance monitoring in rivers, streams, and agricultural drainage, already field-proven in in conjunction with national nitrate monitoring systems.

For Water4All JTC2026 (Topic 1), we're seeking consortium partners with: catchment/river or agricultural drainage test sites; data science expertise for AI-based anomaly detection and data interoperability; and regulatory links to Nitrates Directive/WFD compliance monitoring.
