Alfa Kimya A.Ş. is a Turkish industrial resin manufacturer with expertise in the production of alkyd and acrylic resin systems for coating applications. Our capabilities cover polymer synthesis, formulation development, process optimisation, laboratory and pilot-scale R&D, industrial-scale production, analytical characterisation, quality control and industrial validation.

Alfa operates with established production facilities and high-volume industrial manufacturing processes, providing access to significant quantities of real industrial wastewater generated during resin production and associated cleaning operations. These wastewater streams represent a valuable real-world case for investigating sustainable wastewater management and valorisation approaches.

Our R&D infrastructure enables laboratory, pilot and industrial-scale testing, process development and scale-up. We can contribute industrial wastewater samples and process data, resin and polymer chemistry expertise, experimental facilities and an industrial environment for technology validation.

We are interested in collaborating with research and technology partners working on industrial wastewater valorisation, carbon and resource recovery, energy recovery, biological conversion, biohydrogen/biogas production, advanced treatment and water reuse.

The project aims to investigate the sustainable valorisation of industrial wastewater generated during alkyd and acrylic resin manufacturing. The objective is to evaluate the potential of wastewater as a source of recoverable carbon, energy and other valuable resources, and to develop suitable treatment and valorisation pathways. Alfa Kimya will provide industrial wastewater streams, process knowledge and laboratory/pilot-scale validation capabilities. We are looking for research and technology partners with expertise in wastewater valorisation, resource and energy recovery, biological conversion, carbon recovery and advanced wastewater treatment.
