My research expertise focuses on sustainable development , circular economy, climate vulnerability and resilience, with particular emphasis on water–agriculture interactions, adaptation strategies, and the assessment of water-related policies in the Mediterranean and African context.
Project participation
I participated in the VALUETEAM project, entitled “Local and International Valorization of Mediterranean Agri-Food Products through Quality Certifications: The Case of the Date Sector”, funded through ARIMNet 2 (2017), an ERA-NET initiative supported by the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (Grant Agreement No. 219262).
This project provided experience in agri-food value chains, quality , sustainable development, and the economic valorization of agricultural products in the Mediterranean context.

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing on behalf of the Social and Economic Policy Analysis Laboratory (SEPAL) at the Institute of Management of Tunis (ISG Tunis), University of Tunis, to express our interest in joining a consortium preparing a proposal for the Water4All 2026 Joint Transnational Call on Sustainable Water Management.

SEPAL’s contribution: Our team can contribute expertise in environmental economics, climate and water resilience, sustainable development, and water–agriculture interactions. In particular, we can contribute to the socio-economic assessment of water vulnerability and resilience, the analysis of water–agriculture–food nexus issues, the evaluation of adaptation strategies and water-management policies, and empirical research in the Tunisian and Mediterranean context.

We believe that SEPAL could provide a valuable socio-economic and territorial perspective within an interdisciplinary consortium, particularly for projects addressing Integrated Water Resource Management, water resilience, and integrated water monitoring and data management.

We would be pleased to discuss possible opportunities for collaboration and SEPAL’s potential role in the project.
