a project to join
MemLab www.memlab.no at NMBU would like to join an existing or forming Water4All 2026 consortium under Topic 3.
We offer expertise in nanofiltration and other membrane processes, transport characterisation, concentration polarisation, membrane performance analysis and machine-learning-based process control. We are interested in projects that use monitoring data to adapt treatment to changing raw-water quality while maintaining water quality, energy efficiency and operational reliability.
MemLab could lead a work package linking water composition and membrane-process measurements to interpretable models, early detection of performance loss and operational decision support. Relevant tasks may include controlled membrane experiments, quantitative correction for concentration polarisation, analysis of natural organic matter and competing solutes, model validation with utility data, and comparison of control strategies under realistic disturbances.
Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management
We seek a coordinator and partners that can supply an infrastructure-level research question, operational datasets and a validation environment. A strong consortium would include water utilities or infrastructure operators, monitoring or sensor expertise, data integration, risk and resilience analysis, and social or governance competence where required. The project should address sustainable water management and adaptive infrastructure.
adaptive water infrastructure, membrane treatment, nanofiltration, water-quality monitoring, machine learning, decision support
We coordinate an international network WaterHarmony.
