I develop computational approaches to integrate and validate data on physical and human systems for decision making. This data comes from Earth Observations, IoT sensors, social media, and official networks, A core aspect of my research is the evaluation of citizen science data to improve monitoring of environmental hazards at local scales. I work with socio-economic data for social vulnerability, hazard models for physical systems, and computer vision to automatically extract features.
