My expertise lies in interdisciplinary environmental research, with a focus on environmental monitoring, remote sensing and the integration of heterogeneous geospatial and ecological data. A particular focus is the application of advanced sensing technologies for monitoring ecosystems and environmental processes. We currently use hyperspectral imaging to support peatland (moor) restoration and monitoring projects, with the aim of further developing and expanding these applications for ecosystem and water-related research.
My work combines field-based environmental observations with remote sensing, spatial analysis and modelling to assess environmental change and support evidence-based management of ecosystems and landscapes. I am particularly interested in linking different spatial and temporal data sources to better understand interactions between hydrological, atmospheric and ecological processes.

Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
I am interested in joining a Water4All project addressing water-related environmental challenges, particularly where remote sensing, environmental monitoring and spatial analysis can contribute to improved understanding and management of water and wetland ecosystems.
Our group has experience in environmental monitoring and currently applies hyperspectral imaging in peatland restoration and monitoring projects. I am particularly interested in projects where these approaches can be further developed and transferred to broader water-related applications, for example for monitoring ecosystem condition, hydrological processes, restoration success or environmental change.
I am looking for a consortium where I can contribute expertise in remote sensing, hyperspectral data, spatial analysis and environmental monitoring, while further developing these approaches in an interdisciplinary water research context.
