Macomi is a software company that focuses on transportation analytics for decision and policy making. Out digital twin PortGenie is a simulation/optimisation tool that accurately represents vessel sailing and cargo processes and plans them efficiently. We would like to further improve environment/emission - related anaytics in our tooling.
Currently we have 2 related activities ongoing:
1) Combining transport requirements with water loss/quality aspects (incl. salinity calculations) when planning vessels through sea locks. The goal is to find better balance of allowing vessel passages during low water period while maintaining water balancing/quality aspects.
2) Analysis of inland waterway systems during low water in terms of capacity, including draft analysis (reduced cargo load possibilities), bottleneck analysis and cumulative effects.

We would like to join a project where a digital twin model could be useful for determining infrastructure investment, policy or operational rules where water scarcity and quality as well transportation requirement can be investigated and balanced. Looking at the situation from a holistic standpoint and quantitatively assessing for decision-making.
It is important that at least one partner is able to provide data for the analysis.
