a project to join
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bonn, specialising in hydrology, integrated water resources management, and water-related ecosystem services. My methodological expertise includes Earth observation and GIS, hydrological and spatial modelling, multi-criteria decision analysis (AHP/MCDA), and participatory approaches integrating scientific evidence with stakeholder and local knowledge.

My research focuses on hydrological extremes, climate resilience, forest–water interactions, nature-based solutions, and the assessment of their hydrological and socio-ecological benefits. I am currently involved in the CO-HYDIM-SA project under the Water Security in Africa (WASA) programme, contributing to integrated flood and drought risk and vulnerability assessments and the co-development of early-warning and decision-support systems in Southern Africa.

Keywords: Hydrology, Water-related ecosystem services, Earth observation and GIS, Flood and drought risk assessment, Nature-based solutions, Forest–water interactions, Spatial modelling, Multi-criteria decision analysis, Participatory approaches, Climate change adaptation.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 2. Nature-Based Approaches for Resilient Water Management at Hydrological and Hydrogeological System Scale
I am interested in joining or developing transnational research proposals, focusing on the integration of hydrological and ecological processes, Earth observation, water-related ecosystem services, and sustainable water resources management.

I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborations addressing the assessment of nature-based solutions, their hydrological and socio-ecological benefits, and the development of spatially explicit, stakeholder-informed decision-support approaches.

I am seeking partners with complementary expertise in hydrological and ecological modelling, nature-based solutions, field-based assessments, and water governance, as well as institutions interested in co-developing research questions and methodologies across different geographical contexts.
hydrology, ecohydrology, water-related ecosystem services, nature-based solutions (nbs), remote sensing and gis, flood and drought risk assessment, integrated water resources management, multi-criteria decision analysis (mcda), participatory approaches, climate change adaptation
