Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
I am interested in joining a project within Water4All because it addresses the question I work on every day: how can proven water innovations become investable, financeable, organisable and scalable in practice? I am a senior researcher at the Business Models research group of Saxion University of Applied Sciences in the east of Netherlands. My work focuses on business models, multiple value creation and investment decisions under uncertainty in public private collaboration. Together with colleagues from the research groups on International Water Technology, Sustainable Areas and Soil Transitions, and Smart Cities, I am developing a practical framework that connects technical water solutions to economic valuation, investment logic and the questions of who decides, who pays and who benefits. Through my work at Saxion I am part of an advisory group for the study on the economic value of water in my region and I am involved in an economic research project with regional SMEs on circular water solutions.
