Biomix is a Türkiye-based R&D company developing energy-efficient, variable-speed mixing technologies for wastewater treatment. Our expertise includes CFD-based hydraulic modelling, high-efficiency propeller and mixer design, controllable mixer operation, field implementation and performance validation in real treatment environments.

For Water4All, Biomix can contribute the physical mixing technology, CFD-derived hydraulic information, variable-speed actuation and demonstration activities needed for smart and adaptive wastewater infrastructure.

Topic 3. Smart, Secure and Adaptive Water Infrastructures for Sustainable Water Management

We are building a consortium under Water4All 2026 Topic 3 to develop and demonstrate an intelligent adaptive mixing system for wastewater treatment plants. The concept combines energy-efficient variable-speed mixing, CFD-based hydraulic modelling, plant operational data and machine-learning-based control.

Process and SCADA data would be combined with CFD-derived hydraulic information and operating history to predict process response and determine suitable mixer RPM, on/off state and operating schedule as conditions change. The project would progress from operator decision support toward supervised and closed-loop adaptive control, with the aim of maintaining treatment performance while reducing unnecessary mixing energy.

We are looking for: (1) a municipal or industrial wastewater treatment plant/operator able to provide a demonstration site, operational/SCADA data and process expertise, and (2) an AI/ML and process-control partner able to integrate field and CFD data and develop the predictive and control layer.
