a project to join
Barca lui Zoe Association specialises in community engagement, environmental education, citizen participation and science communication, with a strong focus on water and aquatic environments.
Our expertise includes designing and facilitating participatory activities with young people, schools and local communities; stakeholder consultations and co-creation processes; supporting citizen-science and participatory monitoring activities developed together with scientific partners; translating research findings into accessible educational and communication materials; and supporting local field implementation, participant recruitment and feedback collection.
We have experience coordinating environmental education and community-based activities in Romania and internationally, including projects focused on water, marine ecosystems, pollution and responsible use of natural resources.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
Barca lui Zoe Association is looking to join a research-led Water4All consortium, particularly under Topic 1 – Integrated Monitoring and Assessment and Topic 4 – Resilient Water Systems through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance.
We are interested in projects that already have strong scientific and technical expertise but would benefit from a civil-society partner able to connect research with communities and end users.
Our contribution can include community and stakeholder engagement, consultations with pupils, young people and local residents, participatory and citizen-science activities designed together with researchers, recruitment and facilitation of participants, environmental education, communication of research results to non-specialist audiences, and support for local field testing or validation activities in Romania.
We are particularly interested in projects where community input, user feedback, societal acceptance and practical uptake are important to the quality and impact of the research.
Our aim is to help ensure that scientific results are not only produced, but also understood, tested and used by the communities and stakeholders they are intended to benefit.
