LIFEMAKERS is a Libya-based consultancy firm with experience in community engagement, participatory research and assessments, stakeholder engagement, local governance, livelihoods and community resilience.
We offer strong local knowledge and access to communities and stakeholders in Libya, enabling research consortia to connect scientific evidence with local realities and implementation. Our contribution can include community-based data collection, qualitative research, stakeholder mapping and consultation, participatory assessments, field-level piloting and validation, engagement with local institutions and communities, and dissemination and uptake of research findings.
For Water4All, we are particularly interested in supporting research on inclusive and sustainable water governance, community participation in water management, institutional coordination, groundwater-related challenges, and evidence-based approaches to water resilience.
Main skills: Community-based research; stakeholder engagement; participatory approaches; local governance; research-to-practice.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
LIFEMAKERS is seeking to join a Water4All consortium interested in incorporating Libya as a case study and field setting for research on sustainable water management.
We are particularly interested in projects addressing inclusive water governance, groundwater challenges, community participation, institutional coordination and evidence-informed decision-making, with potential links between Topics 4 and 1.
LIFEMAKERS can contribute a strong research-to-practice and field-level perspective, supporting community and stakeholder engagement, participatory and qualitative research, local data collection, assessments, field validation and piloting, and engagement with relevant Libyan institutions and communities.
We are interested in collaborating with universities and research institutions with complementary scientific expertise in IWRM, groundwater management, hydrology, water governance, monitoring and data, social sciences and water resilience.
Our objective is to help ensure that research approaches and solutions are locally grounded, inclusive and applicable to Libya and the wider North African/Mediterranean context.
