WRIRE Ltd is a Rwanda-based engineering and environmental consultancy working at the intersection of water security, ecosystem restoration and climate resilience. Its technical leadership holds Chartered Civil Engineer status and MSc-level research applying the IUCN Global Standard for Nature-based Solutions to two Rwandan wetland programmes, alongside over 12 years of professional experience in wetland geotechnical engineering, hydrological and hydraulic assessment, GIS-based spatial analysis, and water-quality field data collection.
Core expertise: Wetland and catchment restoration; Climate-risk and vulnerability assessment; Nature-based and hybrid grey-green solutions; GIS-based decision-support; and translating international standards into practical assessment frameworks for climate-resilient water and environmental management.
Topic 1. Integrated Monitoring and Assessment for Sustainable Water Management
Topic 2. Nature-Based Approaches for Resilient Water Management at Hydrological and Hydrogeological System Scale
Topic 4. Resilient Water Systems Through Systemic Change, Policy Coherence and Inclusive Governance
WRIRE is interested in joining a Water4All 2026 consortium under Topic 1 or Topic 2, with strong secondary fit to Topic 4, as a self-funded or subcontracted East African field and technical partner to Universities, Research institutes or Engineering-led consortia. We can contribute a Rwandan catchment/wetland case study, local field data collection and monitoring, GIS-based spatial diagnostics, stakeholder engagement, and practitioner-facing NbS quality-assessment tools grounded in real implementation experience; not desk research alone. We are particularly interested in partnerships strengthening water-quality evidence, integrated monitoring, and ecosystem-based approaches to water management in Rwanda and the wider East African region.
