a project to join
I am a PhD researcher at the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), focusing on socio-ecological resilience and climate adaptation in cultural landscapes, with an emphasis on water systems, governance, and stakeholder behaviour.
My research investigates groundwater stress, traditional water management systems, and adaptation responses of local communities, with an in-depth case study of the Chand Baori region (India). A key focus of my work is the “awareness–adaptation gap”, where high awareness of environmental degradation does not necessarily translate into sustainable practices, particularly in water use and agriculture.
Methodologically, I combine:
1. Stakeholder-based research (structured surveys, perception analysis, institutional perspectives)
2. Spatial analysis and GIS (ArcGIS Pro) for land-use change and environmental assessment
3. Socio-environmental data integration, linking behavioural patterns with ecological processes
4. Field-based research in water-stressed rural landscapes
My work sits at the intersection of water governance, community engagement, and adaptive behaviour, contributing to a better understanding of how social dynamics influence environmental and health-related outcomes.
Topics
1. Topic 1: Waterborne risks, vulnerability, and socio-environmental exposure
2. Topic 2: Governance systems, stakeholder behaviour, and adaptive capacity
3. Topic 3: Nature-based and traditional solutions for water resilience
Topic 4. Governance, Socio-Economic Innovation, and Policy Integration for Water and Health
Water4All2025-441 (FLOW-TOGETHER)

My research aligns with project ideas focusing on inclusive governance, community engagement, and nature-based solutions in water–health systems.

Within a consortium, I can contribute to:
1. Stakeholder engagement activities
2. Analyses of behavioural drivers related to water use and health-related risks
3. Comparative insights (Global South–Europe perspective) on water resilience and adaptation pathways
4. Integration of social and spatial (GIS-based) data
5. Support of transdisciplinary research approaches linking local knowledge and scientific approaches

My research on traditional water infrastructures (e.g., stepwells) and groundwater dependency provides a culturally embedded perspective on water management, which can strengthen the project’s transdisciplinary and inclusive approach.

Given the tight timeline, I am available for immediate engagement through online meetings (Zoom/Teams) and rapid integration into proposal development. I am fully committed to contributing actively and flexibly within the consortium.
