We have extensive experience in research in the field of surface water and wastewater treatment and analysis. The main research areas include adsorption, bioremediation, and photocatalytic processes for the removal of micropollutants from the environment. We prepare our own adsorption materials and photocatalysts and have the equipment for their detailed characterization and testing. We also focus on the ecotoxicity of emerging contaminants, as well as municipal and industrial wastewater and sewage sludge treatment. For the analysis of organic compounds (pharmaceuticals, pesticides, PPCPs, PAHs, and others), we primarily use chromatographic methods (HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS, IC), along with atomic absorption spectrometry for metal determination and surface plasmon resonance to study interactions on a chip. We also perform microplastics analysis using FTIR microscopy and Py-GC-MS.
