Our work focuses on a comprehensive assessment of emerging threats in the aquatic environment, specifically targeting antimicrobial resistance (AMR), waterborne pathogens, PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and microplastics. Our expertise covers the entire lifecycle of pollutants: from advanced sampling and high-resolution analysis to monitoring and modelling the behavior and transport of contaminants in water bodies. We specialize in assessing pollution sources, evaluating the efficiency of wastewater treatment technologies and assessing their impact on receiving waters. Our laboratories utilize state-of-the-art methods, including PCR-based techniques for pathogens, AMR, and environmental DNA (eDNA) biodiversity monitoring, UHPLC-(ESI)-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS for micropollutants, and uFTIR for microplastics.

Topic 2. Innovative Tools and Technologies for Water Quality and Exposure Monitoring
Topic 3. Water Treatment and Exposure Mitigation
We are looking for partners in all of above mentioned thematic areas to collaborate with under the Water4All 2025 call. Specifically, we are seeking partners to whom we can offer our strengths in analysis and monitoring, as well as our expertise in assessing impacts on the aquatic environment or advanced nature-based solutions for mitigating impacts on water resources.
