Wastewater treatment, heterogeneous catalysts, Chemical oxidation, PhotoFenton, chemical disinfection, CFD modelling, ion-exchange, acid/base catalysis
Nanocoated surface functionalised polymers for degradation of pollutants, removal of metal ions from wastwater and production of biodiesel (esterification/transesterification). Catalyst produced and patented by De Montfort University at industrial scale via suppliers. We have catalytic continuous flow reactors assisted with UV and microwaves treating turbid wastestreams (laboratory and pilot scale). Catalytic disinfection of a wide range of microorganisms and viruses with a license in the opthalmic area.

I am looking to join a project or a number of projects. I have extensive experience in wastewater treatment with a fully equipped laboratory for water quality analysis. I have an innovative catalyst and metal removal materials that I have devloped and characterised available in a number of formats (mesh -many advantages as allows excellent hydrodynamic flows, fibrils, non-woven) available at industrial scale.I have standard AAA sun lamps for visible light photocatalysis.
I have a novel reactor design for wastewater treatment that has been extensively tested at both lab and pilot scale for many pollutants. Experience of catalytic membranes. I perform biological treatment using algae as a polishing step after chemical oxidative catalysis. I have been awarded over 4M euros in UK and EU government funding to develop these treatment systems. Can be stand alone or part of an established treatment system.
wastewater treatment, uv/mw assisted fenton, heterogeneous catalysis, nanocoated polymer, mine drainage, pollutant, water re-use, textile, pfas, olive
