Aquaya is a nonprofit research organization dedicated to advancing access to safe water and sanitation globally. Aquaya has managed a variety of research efforts across 29 low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), including innovation testing, randomized trials, economic analysis, data science, and qualitative studies. We have experience managing high-quality field data collection in LMICs through household surveys, environmental sampling, and stakeholder interviews. We routinely collaborate with a range of local stakeholders including water utilities, regulators, municipal governments, community members, and local NGOs to design and conduct applied research that informs decision-making. We have staff in Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, the United States, France, and Ethiopia (we are locally registered in the first four, and currently working on French registration). We are well positioned to support consortia that want to i) expand the geographic scope of their research to LMICs or ii) include field-testing of an innovation in LMICs.
