Environmental and Occupational Biologist at the University of Turin. I was collaborating to research activities at the University since 2001 and became researcher in Hygiene in the 2008 at School of Medicine. Then in the 2015 she became Associate Professor at the Department of Public Health and Microbiology of the same University. The mainly research fields regard the Environmental Science and Human Health. During the last 10 years, I worked on the characterization methods of the microbial communities in environmental and human samples - such as sludge, wastewaters and aerosols – to evaluate the role of the microbiota in the interaction and modulation of human health. I have collaborated to numerous research project at a local, national and international level (Asia-pro-ECO). I was Principal Investigator in research project funded by Piedmont Region, Private Companies and European commission (VII EU-FP). For this specific project call, I can collaborate for the developing of biological methods in the emerging pollutant removal to improve wastewater reuse. I already collaborate with local wastewater treatment plants on this topic.
