a project to join
The research group on Electrochemical Engineering and Corrosion (IEC) from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) is an expert in the development of materials and electrochemical processes for energy and environmental applications.
With regard to environmental applications, the IEC group develops materials for the removal of pollutants of emerging concern by means of advanced electrochemical oxidation processes, and electrochemical processes for the recovery of materials for its reuse, contributing to the circular economy.
Projects (examples):
Life2Acid- Towards a sustainable use of metallic resources in the galvanic industry (http://www.life2acid.eu/?lang=en)
Sb-RECMEMTEC- Electro-electrodialysis technology on the copper minerals processing industry to the recovery of antimony from mining tailings and recycling the solution media (https://eramin-sb.wixsite.com/eramin-en)
EFCONEM- Electrofiltration plant based on porous SnO2 ceramic electrodes for the removal of emerging contaminants
Topic 1. Enhancement of water circularity in industries
Topic 3. Resource recovery and valorization
We would like to join a project, especially in Topics 1 and 3 focusing on the recovery of valuable resources (target nutrients, metals, critical raw materials) from wastewater using pressure-driven membrane technologies, electrodialysis or membrane electrochemical reactors.

We could also participate in projects related to the oxidation of micropollutants using electrochemical reactors with ceramic electrodes.
electrodialysis, nutrients, membrane electrochemical reactors, electrochemical advanced oxidation processes, ceramic electrodes, micropollutants
