Expertise/skills: - development of hydrometallurgical processes (SX, SLM, IX, leaching, precipitation. membrane techniques, EW, cementation) from primary and secondary resources - exp. knowledge about membrane techniques including development of nanofiltration, microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis processes from TRL3-TRL5 (100 L/day) - unique pilot scale equipment up to TRL7 for all the technologies mentioned - fundamental investigation of complexation+separation processes and membranes surfaces (e.g. SEM, MLA, NMR, IR) - integration of developed processes in overall flowsheets - economic and ecological considerations for the developed processes (e.g. LCA) - valorisation of process residues (e.g. filter cake, leaching residues)

We are a key enabler for a sustainable circular economy of minerals and metals. We can provide fundamental understanding for developed innovative technologies and systems and quantify possibilities and limits of metallurgical processes We would like to join a project, especially in Topic 1 and 3 which focusses on the development of processes for the (metal) recovery from secondary resources like industrial process water or mining water or related fields. We could test purification technologies like nanofiltration and integrate in a flowsheet. Furthermore, other facilities allow us to test the developed technologies under realistic conditions (TRL5-6 for membrane technologies) .
