Hi, I'm Cleo, Environmental engineer with over 8 years of expertise in freshwater ecology, climate extremes, environmental plastic/microplastic pollution, and interdisciplinary/ collaborative research.
My key competencies: - Anthropogenic impacts incl. nutrients, climate, plastic and microplastic pollution - Freshwater ecology, water systems, ecosystem services, hydrology
My experience spans (urban) water quality monitoring, technical installations, field and laboratory research, conceptual design, data management and analysis, strategic planning, project management, and regulatory compliance. My research on freshwater microplastic pollution has played a crucial role in the development of harmonized sampling methods, data collection, and informing local stakeholders, including wastewater treatment management. I have led capacity building initiatives for microplastic & plastic research and successfully coordinated large-scale water monitoring and climate impact projects across European countries. I'm proficient in several professional programs and laboratory techniques for water and plastics investigation, data analysis, geographic information analysis, and other environmental engineering applications crucial for environmental assessments, data utilization, and environmental planning and consulting.
PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATION: Independent Environmental Engineer & Consultant. Legally authorized to practice based on academic qualifications.

I'd like to join any projects that aim to foster sustainable development and where my competencies provide an added value.
Mainly, but not exclusively, I would be glad to join a project involving water ecosystem services and water quality, as well as microplastic pollution. I have a knack for collaboration and interdisciplinary projects, so write my, if you want that expertise on your team.
