Applications of stable isotopes (C, N, O, H, S, Ar) in geology, palaeoclimatology, oceanography, hydrology, biology and archaeology. Methods for analysing stable isotopes of C, O, H, S and N in different types of samples. Currently in the development of new methodologies for the study of the aquatic systems using O2/Ar, nitrification/denitrification processes in continental and marine systems using isotopic tracers (15N/14N,18O/16O), and in the isotopic traceability of the effects of Global Change on ecosystems.
Topic 1. Mapping, monitoring, and assessment for a better understanding of ecosystem services in a context of changes, from local to global change.
Topic 2. Understanding and predicting multiple pressures (including anthropogenic pressures) - impact - response relationships in ecosystem services through advanced methods and techniques.
Topic 3. New tools and solutions for a better integration of ecosystem services into the management of water resources.
I am interested in joining projects that require isotopic traceability in H2O, nitrates, nitrites, ammonium, dissolved gases (O2, N2, Ar), DIC, DOC, sulfates, or phosphates since I specialize in stable isotope biogeochemistry and our laboratory has equipment for that type of analysis.
