a project to join
Keywords: Sustainability assessment, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Circularity assessment.

Satierra provides science-based sustainability assessment to help blue economy projects turn climate-neutrality and circularity ambitions into credible, quantified evidence. This includes LCA to benchmark novel blue bioresource production, biobased materials, or decarbonization solutions against conventional/fossil-based alternatives; circularity assessment to identify and validate resource-loop opportunities (e.g. valorizing marine biomass or processing by-products); and translating results into standards-aligned KPIs that support the impact pathway approach required by this call, as well as scalability and replication claims across sea basins. Available to join a consortium to lead or contribute to environmental/sustainability impact assessment work packages, from early-stage benchmarking through to reporting for policy uptake and stakeholder communication.
PA1 - Transitioning the blue economy sectors for sustainability and strategic autonomy
PA3 - Promoting sustainable blue bioresources through innovation in marine production and harvesting
PA4 - Building resilience in coastal communities with infrastructure and businesses
Open to joining transnational blue economy projects that need credible environmental and sustainability evidence to support their claims. Particularly interested in projects involving: (i) blue bioresource production, harvesting, or processing (e.g. aquaculture, algae/marine biomass cultivation, biobased materials, alternative proteins, by-product and waste-stream valorization) that need to benchmark environmental performance and circularity against conventional or fossil-based practice; (ii) transition of blue economy sectors toward climate-neutral, resource-efficient, and strategically autonomous operations, where GHG accounting and life cycle evidence underpin decarbonization claims; and (iii) coastal infrastructure or blue business resilience initiatives seeking to demonstrate the sustainability and circularity of the materials, processes, or business models involved.
