Environmental and marine data scientist with a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and an MSc in Bioinformatics. Ten plus years transforming complex environmental and fisheries data into decision ready tools: predictive models, GIS and geospatial platforms, dashboards and automated reporting. Recent work includes stock assessment and bioeconomic modelling (STECF, EU Commission), spatial analytics and ETL pipelines for GFCM/FAO, and applied projects such as GEOSEA (a geoportal centralising marine science data), GEOTRASH (citizen science marine litter monitoring), MINOUWAPP (geoportals to reduce fisheries bycatch of protected species) and COINFISH (economic incentive systems for sustainable fisheries). Comfortable across the full pipeline: Python, R, SQL, ArcGIS/QGIS/PostGIS, machine learning (TensorFlow, scikit learn), Shiny/Tableau/D3.js dashboards. Looking to join a project focused on digitalisation of ocean and fisheries data for a more resilient blue economy. Particularly interested in contributing GIS/geoportal development, bioeconomic and stock assessment modelling, citizen science data pipelines, or dashboard and reporting infrastructure for marine monitoring, biodiversity assessment or fisheries management initiatives that need to demonstrate credible, funder ready data systems.
