Sustainable Blue Call 2024 on "Unified Paths to Climate-Neutral, Sustainable, and Resilient Blue Economy: Engaging Civil Society, Academia, Policy, and Industry"
Marine Biologics is a biotech business designing industrial compounds from macroalgae. We are working to build new chemical supply chains to meet the demands of the blue bioeconomy. The company was founded by a team of entrepreneurs with a track record building large-scale technology businesses in new markets. Our experience growing global companies is complimented by a deep bench of scientific expertise in marine biology and biochemical engineering.
In our lab in Roscoff, France we are using green chemistry to identify high-value compounds extracted from cultivated macroalgae with a focus on marine sulfated polysaccharides, pigments, and phenolics.

PA4 - Blue Bioresources
We are looking to join a project team that needs an industry collaborator interested in scaling macroalgal production through the development of new high-end markets in the biotech space. We are interested in identifying suitable compounds for various chemical applications to replace petrochemical-based compounds. Our vision is to develop and install micro-refineries close to biomass production sources. Furthermore, we are working on customer and market development to identify the needs of the industry.
