SEADS – Sea Defence Solutions is an innovative organization based in Italy. SEADS develops riverine plastic-capturing systems that allow local authorities to maximize the recycling rate of collected waste and increase its value as a resource.

The SEADS BlueBarriers are an award-winning system that collects 100% of riverine macroplastic (and collects microplastic too!) by diverting the waste from the main flow towards an easily accessible collection basin on the river bank - without impacting river life or navigation.
SEADS is offering its expertise in the development and testing of the Blue Barriers also in relation to extracting value from the collected materials and is seeking cooperation for projects aiming to develop and demonstrate feasible, innovative, efficient, and reproducible solutions for the remediation of plastic pollution in rivers and seas.
