1. Isolation and culture of prokaryotic cells (bacteria and archaea) by agar spreading methods (culture-dependent methods) 2. Phenotypic and chemotaxonomic characterization of halophilic strains 3. Molecular characterization of halophilic strains (ARNr16S) 4. Culture independent methods to study the biodiversity and the dynamic of prokaryotic communities in saline and hypersaline waters (DGGE, FISH...) 5. Culture of bacterial and archeal strains at different scales (in flasks and fermenters) for biomolecules production (batch, feed-batch, continuous cultures) 6. Purification and structural characterization of novel biomolecules ,

PA4 - Blue Bioresources
We're looking to joint a project on the development of marine bioresources through fermentor culture, production and purification of novel biomolecules of cosmetic interest. We want to scale up our production of ectoine, an extremolyte with high moisturising power, from laboratory to pilot scale.
