Microalgae, environmental stress tolerance, functional studies, metabolic pathways, metabolic engineering, genome editing, omics, light harvesting, photonics, algal nutrients, pollutants, envitox, cellular responses to abiotic factors, growth regulators.

We have been doing genome wide studies of marine microalgae for more than 15 years. Light, nutrients, pollutants, cell wall, metabolite profiling , transcriptomics, genetic modifications, genome editing, functional studies, improved growth or production.
PA4 - Blue Bioresources
We are interested to join in or lead studies related to production or exploitation of microalgae and the environmental impact on microalgae. Developing and using genomics and genome editing for pathway exploration and functional studies we should be able to participate in both studies related to eg. growth optimisation, genetic potential and limitation of species, metabolic engineering and stress tolerances, regulation and control in microalgae.
