a project to join
I have a strong research background in marine biogeochemistry (the turnover of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus) with a particular focus on how man-made changes (e.g. climate, trawling and other physical disturbances) affect these processes. Over the past few years, his research has focused on how bottom trawling affects the metabolism and chemistry of the seabed. Below, I have carried out investigations into how trawling can increase the sediment release of carbon and nutrients in Danish waters. I would be very interested in joining a project dealing with any of these subjects.
PA1 - Digital Twins of the Oceans (DTO) at regional sub basin scale
PA2 - Blue economy sectors, development of marine multi-use infrastructures
PA3 - Planning and managing sea-uses at the regional level
PA4 - Blue Bioresources
I do currently not have a project but I would be interested in actively contribute to projects dealing with these topics:
- Developing and validating digital twin representations of marine assets, processes or systems.
- Green transition of Blue Food production (assessment of the reduction of CO2 capture by the seabed caused by demersal fishing gears through resuspension of mineralised seabed sediment and disturbance of benthic biodiversity).
biogeochemistry, microbial ecology, in-situ sensors, climate change
