CISAS is a research center with +70 researchers, researching the food chain from farm to fork. We are located near the Atlantic in Northern Portugal and we have research interest related to the blue economy.
We are equipped with a diversity of lobs covering the entire food chain: chemistry, microbiology, food analysis, experimental kitchen, and experimental farm with freshwater aquaculture facilities.
We have strong industry links covering all the food and renewable energy sectors of the blue economy.
