a project to join
Cohabys work focuses on interactions between industrial projects and marine fauna, specialised on marine mammals and seabirds, and particularly involved on issues relating to the underwater noise impact. We have a long experience in marine renewable energy systems, their interactions with marine environment and other environemental issues related to anthropogenic activities (maritime traffic ; mining ; marine aggregate : oil&gas...).
We have skills in statistical analysis (distribution, kriging, habitat modelling...) ; telemetry ; aerial surveys for megafauna census (with observers and digital methods) ; vessel-base survey ; passive acoustic monitoring...
We are currently working as scientific advisor for the French Ministry of Ecology for future offshore windfarm (to reduce impacts on biodiversity by choosing area of less impacts, based on scientific work) and have experience on large industrial projects at sea (real time monitoring, impact assessment...). We also work on R&D projects aiming to better understand the (1) long term impacts and (2) cumulative effects of offshore activities on marine fauna.
PA1 - Planning and managing sea uses at the regional level
PA2 - Development of offshore marine multi-use infrastructures to support the blue economy
PA5 - Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) test use cases at EU sea-basins and the Atlantic Ocean
We would like to join project on (1) developping new technologies for multi-uses offshore platefom ; (2) developping new tools or methodologies for environmental monitoring/observatory ; (3) developping new methodologies for large marine spatial planning and cumulative effects assessment.
