My current research interest is focused on sustainable marine invertebrate aquaculture and integrated multitrophic farming systems. As the person responsible of the research activities of the aquaculture research laboratory of the institute of Okeanos I worked on the life cycles of giant barnacle, european abalone, sea cocumber and more recently on limpets as new species for the development of sustainable aquaculture and diversification of the sector. Currently my research is integrated in the AQUAINVERT project (www.aquainvert.eu) in which I deal not only with research activities on marine invertebrates and macroalgae but also with dissemination and networking activities.
