a project to join
CGIAM is a scientific body governed by public law operating in the field of environment protection, civil protection and research aimed at the reduction of natural hazards since 1979.
Our fields of expertise are among the others the assessment of risk scenarios (e.g. sea level rise, storm surges, etc.), the implementation of environmental models (e.g. suitability analysis of marine and/or terrestrial species, habitat suitability) adopting the state of the art of remote sensing techniques applied to marine and coastal ecosystems, the design and the development of web mapping applications and spatial data infrastructures.
CGIAM promotes the development of international cooperation activities by participating in EU-funded research programs and implementing projects of institutional building, technological application and R&D.
PA1 - Planning and managing sea uses at the regional level
PA3 - Climate-neutral, environmentally sustainable and resource-efficient blue food and feed
PA4 - Green transition of Blue Food production
The Center of Integrated Geomorphology for the Mediterranean Area (CGIAM) would like to join a project in which to capitalize its know-how acquired through participation in several EU, national and regional funded projects. For instance, CGIAM would like to share tailored models and tools to assess the potential impacts of coastal flooding in different time horizons (2023, 2030 and 2050) and to identify adaptation, mitigation and resilience strategies. For further information on Its main fields of expertise, please contact us.
coastal flooding scenarios, sea level rise, storm surges, coastline monitoring, climate-change adaptation and mitigation, resilience strategies, cascade effects, habitat monitoring, habitat suitability, marine and coastal planning.
