Marine ecologist researching the impacts of environmental, biological and anthropogenic stressors on animal (mostly fish) physiology.

Particular emphasis put on the reproductive physiology, the hormonal cascade of stress and the immune response in fishes.

Skilled in transcriptomics, molecular and biochemical techniques applied to in vivo (Dicentrarchus labrax, Sparus aurata, Seriola dumerili, Diplodus sargus, Mullus barbatus, Merluccius merluccius) and in vitro (cell cultures, both continuous and primary) designs.

Local PI of EU H2020 "ALPHEUS" project and coordinator of "PISCES" and "NANOPISCES" projects of the P.O. FEAMP calls.
