LUMO is an innovative SME company established in Cyprus in May 2018 that specialises in developing custom-made optical components such as fibre Bragg gratings for sensing applications and monolithic fibre lasers. Lumoscribe is interested in developing complete end-user sensing solutions and optical devices, such as low-cost light sources, spectrometers, and fibre lasers, amongst others. The particular project fits perfectly with the strategy of the HO since LUMO, among others, foresee on the development of disruptive technologies based on optical fibres, and their exploitation through spinoff companies or licensing through others. The team of LUMO consists of three full time people business oriented and engineering while is financed mostly through private and research projects through the RIF. The company has already participated in various national and international research projects with more than a million euros total funding.
