Working on marine control problems related to marine vessels and operations, incl. Arctic ice operations. Keywords: Control engineering, marine cybernetics, state estimation (e.g. sea state estimation), nonlinear control, dynamic positioning, hybrid marine power systems, energy and emission management, autonomous marine control systems, marine digital twins, ice management.
PA2 - Development of offshore marine multi-use infrastructures to support the blue economy
PA5 - Digital Twin of the Ocean (DTO) test use cases at EU sea-basins and the Atlantic Ocean
Projects related to sea state estimation, time-domain wave prediction, and wave load estimation is of particular interest, both for use in multipurpose ocean structures and in digital twins. Our research group, Marine Energy Systems and Autonomics, have access to the research vessel R/V Gunnerus (already connected with online datacommunication in a developing digital twin system) and inhouse wave tanks / hydrodynamic basins available for experimental testing.
