My expertise / skills :	Our work is aimed at: 1. Genetic diversity of farm animals breeds; 2. Feeding technologies in animal husbandry; quality characteristics of forages and additives as a part of the chain: animals - environment – humans; 3. Research of biochemical, physiological and environmental parameters, providing information for physiological comfort of animals; 4. Monitoring of the physico - chemical composition of meat; 5. Breeding and selection of different sheep breeds; assessment of the quantity and quality of sheep production; 6. Methods of oocyte activation using various stimuli; isolation of stem cells from embryos and fetal organs; in vitro fertilization of ova from different animal species; 7. Assessment of different technologies for keeping bee colonies; establishing methods for improving the quality control of bee products; developing methods for assessment of ecological purity of bee products - residues of antibiotics, sulphamides, heavy metals, presence of acaricides and others; 8. Creating selection programs for different rabbit breeds; microclimate assessment of premises for different categories of rabbits; 9. Studies related to breeding and improvement of horse breeds; 10. Selection in poultry and maintaining the initial populations of the National gene pool; developing optimal cross-breeding schemes. IAS has a ”Production - experimental base”, in which beef cattle, sheep, horses, rabbits, hens, and bees are kept.
